Since our inception in 2015 we’ve processed more than 5,000 military tax reclaims, all of which began with an HMRC application for a Unique Tax Reference (UTR).
In short terms, a UTR contains 10 digits and will appear on any correspondence between you and HMRC. The codes are completely unique and individual and rather like a national insurance number will stay with you for life.
Here at Forces Money we specialise in armed forces tax rebates and are more than aware of just how busy life can be, with this in mind, we eliminate extra work for you by applying for your personal UTR on your behalf.
Once we have collated and confirmed your basic details over the phone, we can begin to kickstart your claim proceedings. Your UTR will take between 6-8 weeks to be issued by HMRC and as your agent we will receive a copy of this documentation.
We always recommend that our clients should forward any subsequent letters received from HMRC to us, to help ensure a seamless reclaim process.
Upon receiving your UTR,  we will then prepare and submit your self assessment returns and once submitted your reclaim payment will be ready in as little as two weeks.
To keep the reclaim process as efficient as possible, we will always pay your claim out within just 48 hours after payment is received from HMRC.

If you believe you may be entitled to a military tax rebate, do not hesitate to contact us at 01179861234 or complete our short application form to initiate your claim today “here”.
